Dr. Lisa Kitt- (Chief Science Officer- CSO)
Lisa is a Registered Psychologist who specializes in First Responder organizational wellness and mental health injuries. She has a therapy practice on the Sunshine Coast specializing in trauma and is faculty member in the Department of Criminology at Kwantlen Polytechnic University where she has developed a range of undergraduate courses. Over the past decade, Dr. Kitt has served as an organizational consultant for several Police Organizations across Canada, helping to building trauma and resilience informed workplaces. Dr. Kitt’s passion is in mitigating the impact of trauma and promoting both Organizational and Individual wellness, particularly with people who put themselves at high risk for psychological injury through their workplace experiences.
Chris Backus- (Director)
Chris is an extremely passionate leader who thrives on achieving employee wellbeing and success in a variety of multidimensional and challenging work environments. Chris is a former police officer with the RCMP working over 20 years in roles of a Crisis Negotiator, People/Culture Specialist, Conflict Management Advisor, and Senior Leader/Commander. He also worked as strategic communications advisor to the United Nations mission in Côte d’Ivoire advancing diplomatic peacekeeping efforts. In recent years Chris has held CEO leadership roles in both private and public companies in Canada and has a masters degree in Conflict Management and Communication from Royal Roads University in Victoria , BC. Chris thrives on helping organizations create emotionally invested employees who can become the very best version of themselves.
